PATTERN OF NOTES ON A GRID

These five drawings show the pattern of all the notes heard in music on a ladder of sound. By imagining a long string plucked in the middle would give the note known as the fundamental, in this case C or Do. By drawing wave patterns, based on dividing by half, we note where the note clusters fall. Where no notes fall, we call the void, which we denote with a minus sign. The object would be positive. The intervals not heard in music are drawn as though they are exploding. Based upon multiples of two and three we can determine the zig zag dotted lines. Each square is reduced visually and proportionally to accommodate roughly an octave. In actuality the space would be much greater between each successive square.
